HOW TO FULLY PATCH THE FIRST DECADE
Below is the a step-by step guide to fully patching C&C The First Decade compilation DVD.
Installation Instructions:
Download and install the unofficial 1.03 patch available here
This patch, although unofficial, has received the official nod from EA as it contains a fix for almost every bug reported with the compilation, even some that were in the original games! Highlights include:
- Online play has been added to all of the classic titles
- You also no longer need the disc in the drive to play!
- Updating Red Alert to version 3.03
- Cleaned up video files to free up nearly a gig of hard drive space,
- Extra official Westwood maps from downloadable map packs.
- LAN has fixed for Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2, and Yuri’s Revenge
- All manuals added
- Registry entry fixes
- Includes official 1.01 and 1.02 fixes.
1.03 is completely legitimate and will cause no harm to your computer. However if you are still dubious about it here are the two official patches, you will need to download and install both separately and may still encounter bugs:
